A picturesque Dublin wedding venue tucked away in the heart of the Strawberry Beds and away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre is the ideal location for couples looking for a city wedding without the noise. With the added attraction of the Phoenix Park on our doorstep, creating a beautiful backdrop to your wedding photos, we are the perfect choice for those looking for something a little different for their wedding day.
Here at Anglers Rest we cater for all things wedding related – we are ideal for intimate gatherings or a large celebration for up to 120 or 180 guests split over two rooms and are an LGBTQIA+ friendly and HSE approved civil ceremony venue. We can also host vow renewals or rehearsal dinners and are a chosen spot for couples wanting to keep the wedding magic going with a day 2 celebration.

The Collins Room
Our stunning Collins Room, named after Michael Collins who used Anglers Rest as a place to meet his Dublin Castle spies in 1919-1922, is complimentary if you wish to host your Civil Ceremony with us. Bare floorboards, sash windows & an open log fire add to the vintage chic & romantic simplicity make this the perfect place to say “I Do”. With capacity for up to 120 guests seated, HSE approved & fully accessible.
To carry out your ceremony, please visit the Registrar of Marriages on Lower Grand Canal Street, Dublin 2 for all of the information you will need for your big day. Ollie’s attention to detail is second to none. Ollie ensures fires are lit, the tables are set, the wine is chilling and the chefs are ready to make your visit a most memorable one.
